Pet Peeves and Puny Pricing in Northern Virginia Real Estate Market

Whether it’s complete disregard for the use of adverbs, unnecessary negativity, or terrible drivers, we all have our annoyances. Having worked in the guest service industry for several years, I become irritated when I am not treated with the same care and respect that I vigilantly implement. While recently frequenting a local Loudoun County pizza joint, an employee brought out our large cheese and pepperoni and upon noticing our lack of plates and utensil commented, “Oh [so and so] was supposed to bring that stuff out for you…”. Whether you serve pizza, stock shelves, or sell houses, pride and ownership should be evident in everything you do.

More specific to the realm of real estate, your local KW agents at Ask Gina & Company
disapprove when realtors price a house low for a quick sale. It is wonderful when a house sells promptly based on its merits but we want the sellers to receive the best price and terms in return. How do you know that we care about your Ashburn property and are not giant hypocrites? Every single cog in the AGC machine meticulously executes their specific tasks, lending to every sale we make.  We strive for A+ service in every vendor we utilize and we market significantly more thoroughly than our competition. Although it is possible to simply input listings into MLS (Multiple Listing Service), our team markets each listing on five supplementary sites in addition to advertising them on local blogs, bulletin boards and the big boys: Realtor.com, Trulia, and Zillow. Even the paper that we use for brochures and flyers is the highest quality available and our stager and photographer are full time professionals at their craft. Not only do we inquire into everything there is to know about your home, we stay current regarding
news and changes in your Potomac Falls neighborhood; what stores and restaurants will entice buyers and how is your Leesburg government affecting the market? On a larger scale, we acknowledge the consequences of decisions made by the federal government on the real estate industry nationally and locally.

If you or anyone you know is thinking about moving, or you simply want to hear more about how we go above and beyond with our services, please contact Ask Gina & Company. We love our Loudoun community and appreciate every relationship that we have acquired over the years.

We're Number 1!!!

We’re number one!

It’s been a busy month here at AGC.

We’re number 1!!! According to a recent poll, conducted by The Loudoun Local Team, residents of Loudoun County voted Gina Tufano as the “Best Real Estate Agent” in Loudoun County! We don’t mean to gloat, we are just proud of our accomplishment and want to share our skills and excitement with our community. Thank you to anyone and everyone who participated in the voting process.

We also had the privilege of participating in the 2013 Dulles Plane Pull. Not only did the Ask Gina & Company  Superheroes drag the 164,000+ pound Airbus twelve feet in 10.438 seconds, we brought home TWO trophies! One for raising money for Virginia Special Olympics  AND one for  the most enthusiastic!

And no, your eyes are not deceiving you; Miss Virginia USA and Miss Loundoun County were on our plane pulling team, along with quite a few other caped crusaders you might recognize!
But enough about us- comment below with your proudest achievement of the year so far. Don’t forget to “like” on Facebook and let us know how we can join you in becoming further involved in our community. If you’re a business, invite us to “like” you in return! And, of course, if you don’t live in Loudoun, we’d be happy to help change that.

Ask Gina About Old Dominion Valley

Old Dominion Valley is a community of 137 single family homes in Purcellville, Virginia. The community was built between 2001 and 2004 and the majority of the homes back to a wooded tree line that provides ultimate privacy. Just a mile from route 7 and seconds from Old Town Purcellville, Old Dominion Valley is conveniently located within close range of several restaurant, entertainment, and shopping options. The acclaimed Magnolias restaurant and Shamrock Music are both a short jaunt away and the new Catoctin Creek Whiskey Brewery is now open as well as various wineries. The neighborhood is part of Loudoun County School District and is close to both Loudoun Valley High School and Woodgrove High School. Life in ODV feels very suburban and rural with easy access to city life.

Amenities include an asphalt trail that connects to the W&OD trail, snow removal at school bus stops, and landscaped common areas. Northern Virginia becomes hot in the summer but, not to worry, you are close to both Franklin Park and the Purcellville Country Club which both offer swimming options.

Western LoCo Safety Meeting

Are you thinking about moving to western Loudoun County? Already live in Western Loudoun and simply like to be in the know? Ask Gina & Company, your friendly neighborhood Realtors, have your back!

On Thursday, September 26th  at 7:00 PM the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office will be holding a public
safety meeting to discuss recent crime and crime trends, traffic safety, and other public safety related
issues.

School is back in session and while we are at work, our kids are attending classes, practicing athletics,
and participating in incalculable shenanigans that we will never be completely aware of. While advice
such as, “don’t take candy from strangers,” has become cliché, it is expected of parents and guardians
to “beat a dead horse,” “be a broken record,” and other less worn out verbal phrases in regards to our
children’s safety.  What safety issues, regarding your children or otherwise, do you think about the
most? Although we do not want to dwell on our worries, problems and concerns cannot be addressed if
they are not verbalized.

Every city and suburb has room for improvement, but we would be unable to take such pride in working
at Ask Gina & Company in Loudoun County if we did not feel safe and have faith that our fellow Loudoun
dwellers felt secure in their homes and communities as well.
