Silver Line Metro ~ Finishing touches are underway!

Silver Line Metro ~ Finishing touches are underway!

Construction crews are in the process of completing the final touches to sidewalks around the stations and paving projects are entering their final configuration on Rt. 7 & 276 (Toll Road). You already might have caught a glimpse of a train heading down the new rail during your commute from Loudoun to Fairfax County!

Here's the plan as we enter the last few stages:

permanent fourth lane along east and westbound Rt. 7 will be added over the next couple month to help ease traffic around the metro stop in Tyson's. During this time, sidewalks, planters and new foundations for street lights will also be put into place to accommodate the extra lane. The Dulles Metro Rail calls for your patience and extra caution when traveling through the area. The lane closures, pedestrian detours, and temporary walkways will be coming to a close this year.

Meanwhile, dynamic testing along the new Silver Line is already taking place from East Falls Church orange line to the end in Reston. Phase 1 is scheduled to be 100% complete by September -- just in time for the beautiful fall foliage in the region!

Curious on how the new metro rail will impact the value of your home in Loudoun County? Give us a call at 703-574-3478 -- we would be happy to discuss the market conditions with you!
