Eat, Drink, and Be Merry for Charity!

Vintage 50 Restaurant in Leesburg will be hosting the charity event “Loudoun Area Chefs Collaborative Cocktail Reception” this Sunday, July 25th from 4PM-8PM. The event will showcase the culinary expertise from local area chefs and ingredients will be provided by our local farms! Farm-to-table appetizers will be served along with wine and beer that is locally produced.

The funds raised will support the local growers, producers, wineries, chefs, and the Loudoun Therapeutic Riding Foundation (LTRF) which enriches the lives of those with physical, cognitive, and psychological challenges through horseback riding and other activities. Tickets are still available for $68 per person of which $65 will be donated to LTRF!

Who’s going to Kiss-A-Pig?!

That’s right! It’s that time of year again! The Loudoun County Fair will be kicking-off this Sunday, July 25th and will run through Saturday, July 31st. Come out and enjoy the summer Loudoun County style with a Demolition Derby, the Great Outhouse Race, the First Annual Karaoke Contest, and the 12 year old running tradition of the Kiss-A-Pig contest - a fundraiser that raises monies for youth programs, the upkeep of the grounds, and maintenance of buildings and barns! We will be there enjoying the carnival rides so when you see us, make sure to say “hello!”

Tickets at the gate will be $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Don’t Worry, Be Happy! Lecture benefits Loudoun Education Foundation

Ted Leonsis, the owner of the Washington Capitals and the Washington Wizards, will be giving a lecture on his new book “The Business of Happiness: 6 Secrets to Extraordinary Success in Life and Work” on Monday, August 9th from 6-8PM at the 1757 Golf Club in Dulles Virginia. Donations will benefit the Loudoun Education Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises monies to provide enhancements for Loudoun County Public Schools. Those who attend will receive a copy of the book, a wine reception, and lecture by Mr. Leonsis on how to make success almost inevitable!

Tickets range from $125 to $375 and sponsorship opportunities are available for $1,000.
